Fartcoin, the Solana-based meme coin originated from AI bot Truth Terminal, reached a new record-high on Friday, pushing its market cap to $1.5 billion in less than two months of launch, according to CoinGecko data.
The token’s price increased 9% to $1.5 in the past 24 hours, registering weekly gains of 44%. FARTCOIN has surged over 600% in the past month, currently ranking as the fifth-largest memecoin on the Solana blockchain. Its market capitalization trails only Bonk (BONK), ai16z (AI16Z), Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), and dogwifhat (WIF).
FARTCOIN is now the second-largest AI meme coin, following AI16Z, which recently became the first AI token on Solana to surpass $2 billion in market cap. If the bullish momentum extends, Fartcoin will soon join AI16Z in the $2 billion club.
The rally comes amid a major surge across AI meme coins over the past week, which has propelled the market value of the niche sector to over $10 billion.
Other AI-themed tokens also posted substantial gains, with AI16Z rising 164%, Zerebro (ZEREBRO) advancing 82%, Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) climbing 26%, aixbt (AIXBT) gaining 54%, and Freysa AI (FAI) increasing 93%.
