Great book!
Very useful and works as a reminder/refresher of some features of Tableau.

Great Refresh from Tableau for Dummies 1st Edition
The 2nd Edition is a complete rewrite of the 1st Edition which was long overdue.Unlike the 1st Edition, which takes into account Tableau Desktop almost exclusively, there is as much of an emphasis on Tableau Prep and Tableau Cloud as there is on Desktop which is awesome. In fact, I don’t think there are any other books on the market that provide a high-level overview of all three platforms in a single publication. While you aren’t going to get into the deep weeds of Tableau, this is a solid reference for anyone wanting to explore Tableau as a beginner to intermediate user. Also, consistent with other books by the author (Power BI for Dummies), there is a streamlined use case for public sector data for most of the exercises which could be useful for the data analyst/engineer type. Finally, it’s great that the publisher also made offered this book in color vs black and white as it helps to differentiate the high visual nature of Tableau.All-in-all, a good investment for your Tableau / data analytics bookshelf.

Very useful book for learning Tableau
This is a very helpful book to introduce people to Tableau. It may be a bit challenging to those without experience analyzing and displaying data in other platforms. It is well-written and logical. This is just what I needed, and I would buy it again or recommend to a friend. My only disappointment is that some of the illustrations are screen captures with REALLY small and fuzzy text (See image). I honestly can’t read some of them without magnification. Fortunately, not all of the illustrations are this way, but enough of them are that it makes it harder to follow along. Otherwise, a great book.
