    Inexpensive and effective
I was using a version of this with my internet service from Frontier. I was paying $6 a month and decided to cancel and buy this instead. It does the same thing plus more. I’m now protected but for less money. This was an easy choice.

Works well and easy to install
I normally buy new McAfee license at least 1-2 weeks before my old subscription expires but I completely forgot all about it this time. So I just bought this new version few hours before my old one expires and I was able to install it and got everything working successfully. The only issue is that the McAfee system did not recognize and sync to my new subscription and I had to call McAfee Tech Support regarding this issue. The other issue is that the product description said “McAfee 2024” and so I expect this is the latest McAfee version but when I asked the McAfee Tech Support, she told me the latest McAfee version is 1.12 and this version is 1.11.

    Excellent Protection
McAfee Total Protection has worked well to protect my laptop, desktop, and 2 Iphones. My only problem is that because I replaced a previous protection package which has now expired, I keep getting messages saying my protection has expired even though I have an active subscription.

1/4 the cost of auto renewal.
Easy to purchase. Used this to renew / extend my subscription. McAfee doesn’t make it easy, but we figured it out.

    DO NOT BUY MCAFEE
Likes: None. Dislikes: THE WORST. I made the mistake of buying this 2 weeks ago. The very first time I tried to get help, I was in chat for 2 hours. It was a waste of time, & I gave up exhausted. I should have started to request a refund immediately, but the next time I called instead of using chat. That is actually worse because it is a struggle trying to understand the foreign accents. 1st phone call failed, 2nd call Installation completed. More calls for help miserable. They don’t actually DO anything. They point to problems but YOU must fix them alone. REFUND REQUEST. REFUSED Eventually they tell you AMAZON must do refund. And that is more misery. My mistake was buying in the first place. NO MORE MCAFEE EVER. Now, to remove this nightmare from my laptop.

    Best Part
McAfee does almost all the functions well but the beast of all is its password app. That app does what everyone needs on daily basis. Buy it only via Amazon because it has the best price. Amazon installation is a little tricky, so get the code and sign in to the McAfee website to activate and directly download.

    Better Than What I Tried
First, I decided to see if I could get a different security suite that was on sale over the holidays and had used for a long time with other versions of Windows and it worked great then, but now it crashed Windows 11 Pro every five minutes. I did some research and settled on McAfee over two others, all were close in performance. McAfee was lower priced and it lets you choose if you want to automatically renew when the time comes.Other pluses are the options for scanning your PC and when done you can get what they are calling a “Security Grade” but for some reason when it opened the page to see your score it didn’t have anything but a blank white page. I’m writing that one off to my browser being messed up from the other suite. The only minus is that it has far too many popups and it gets to be annoying. One other minus is to use some of the features it touts as being a part of their entire suite cost more than the suite itself. I guess that you get what you pay for. So, if it gets to many of the popups I’ll go back and use Microsoft’s free suite from then on.
