Book 6 of the best-selling Eden’s Gate series!
As a newly anointed member of the Mage’s Guild, Gunnar begins his training under Darion and Eanos. Resistance, staves, and ranged fighting are all staples of any mage, but the pride of being a member of the guild is access to a strange device that helps its members locate areas of powerful magic.
During a routine outing with another mage, a group of mysterious Magi attack and know more about Gunnar than any outsiders should. They know he’s a Reborn, and they know he stole the Fellblade from the Sparrows. Worse, they’ve captured someone he loves.
The Magi want a weapon – an ancient weapon – for her return.
Gunnar must ascend to new heights and come face-to-face with some of the most powerful creatures in Eden’s Gate if he’s to get another chance at a weapon like the Fellblade. Can Gunnar beat the odds, or is the likelihood of death too much for even the whole of Unity to overcome?

Ignore the negative reviews. Here’s what you need to know…
Fantastic continuation of the series! To address a few critical points from other reviews:1. It’s not too short. It’s classified as a LitRPG for a reason. These type of books are supposed to be shorter than a traditional novel. Think of it as being somewhere between a comic and a full novel. The result?… You get installments sooner than you would normally. Personally I prefer that over waiting on a cycle time that is closer to Martin’s lol.2. Character development – several critical reviews boil down to the idea that the characters aren’t as developed as they would like. I can see this to a limited extent but I would probably give character development a 4/5. There are some natural challenges in developing characters well in a split world and also from a first person perspective. My 4/5 rating in this category could be improved by occasionally opening the reader up to alternative people’s perspectives from time to time. Tell a chapter from Rachel’s perspective for example.3. “Characters going above and beyond what they should be able to.” – I actually loved this part of the book. Without revealing too much of the plot… This book showcased how the best gamers will think of ways to exploit the game mechanics in natural ways. Don’t want to fight that mob? Run fast and long enough and eventually in most games they leave you alone. Died? How many times have you gone back to try the same area again but perhaps with a slightly different twist? You rarely wait to level up especially if the rewards are high enough. To me this books showcased a lot of that. Creative thinking to stretch those characters beyond their traditional mob level threshold.Overall the story delivers. It also had a number of twist/turns that I loved. Really looking forward to seeing the next one!

The bag is a huge plot hole
Overall I really enjoy the series… and this book was okay. I am getting kinda tired of the constant ‘stuff’ that keeps happening. It would be nice to slow a bit down.. have some adventures, let some time pass and level up, etc. He doesn’t practice.. he is just getting by… constantly. But the biggest problem I am having.. is that he has this magical bag. That is bound and originally went with him when he died, contents included. This is constantly ignored or forgotten to further the plot. You could just say that ancient weapons can’t go in the pouch or its too wide to go in or whatever. But him dying on that mountain shouldn’t have been a big deal. Anything important should have been in the pouch and the armor is disposable anyways.Anyways. Overall, good story, fun series. But stop forgetting all the cool stuff you have given the MC. (and also, aside from the bags.. I don’t get why anyone really cares about loot in eden’s gate.. considering how quickly it falls apart.)

Awesome Addition
No spoilers. This is my first review of Eden’s Gate in it’s book form. Usually I listen to the audiobooks, but as of late I’ve found myself eagerly awaiting on the next edition in this series and couldn’t wait to delve in.The good:The books are shorter than what I usually read. I’m a high fantasy, epic nerd so this book was an easy couple of days of light reading here and there. For the money it is well worth it. The author does a great job of building the most highly realistic virtual world possible while maintaining clear boundaries. The character growth not being set down one path or limited makes Edens Gate just that much more immersive. I especially love how the choices aren’t black & white. Character growth, world growth, and seeing how Gunner’s actions physically impact the world in so many ways makes it such a great read. This latest addition makes an awesome addition to the best litRPG series out there (even better than worlds like Sword Art Online). The meh:The endings as of late are feeling a little rushed. I was wondering how far along the book I was a one point and saw that I had 10% left and thought to myself how the heck this story arc was going to get wrapped up. The first 3 books felt more rounded, but that was probably because I was listening to them on audiobook & had them all available to listen to at once. I’m not going to ding the author a star though because I feel like I can’t complain at this point and I have no idea what’s in store. This complaint is silly & probably just a result of me wanting more. Huge things ahead in Edens Gate.

Goog book
I continue to enjoy the series, and think if anything it’s getting better. We are starting to move up in the world and get some real scale to the events. I’m interested to see how things will progress with the ancients and dragons.I also very much like the world. I think the author did a very good job designing a world that would be a lot of fun to play/live in.Although I think if this is a real game/world the level progression would be slowing down a lot right now. It’s usually pretty easy to get the first levels, but later levels must turn into a grind. Otherwise everyone would be level 100 within a couple of months. Of course that in a book can make it feel like a drag. Of course time can be made to pass quickly in a book as well. Something to think about to keep it feeling realistic.

I love reading this series. I lose myself completely and share in the feelings of happiness and sadness of the characters created by the author Edward Brody.I have the next book sitting idly on my kindle waiting for me to venture forth with Gunnar and Co to see what happens next….. and I cannot wait any longer!

So, I went through the last 3 books extremely fast and Iâm bummed out now that I have to wait for more books in the series. Glad Iâll get at least 3 more from this!I could have actually killed Gunnar in this book, though. I went to bed livid at him in certain parts.Great read and interesting to see how all the pieces are starting to fit together. <3

I can’t wait for more books in the series to come out. This was already hard to wait for and I seem to get more and more hooked everytime a new book is released. Highly recommend if you enjoy becoming immersed in a diverse and richly detailed world with awesome characters to boot.

I’ve enjoyed this series a lot so far. The only two gripes I have (which is isn’t much considering my enjoyment) is the lack of character growth to Aaron, still talks like a horny teenager with no filter and zero consideration for who is around him. The other thing is the travel time, for a world that is supposed to be ten times bigger than earth, they get around way too quickly, covering multiple territory kingdoms in a day while still managing to dungeon dive and farm.
