Danger stalks across the surface. Tension and panic rise within the clan as whispers of a massive raider army of a size never before heard of, rallying together. They plan a grand crusade to sweep across the white wastes, eliminating any who stand in their way. Their numbers are legion, their power and resources near limitless. And their course is set to cross the clan.
In these dark times, the people turn to their immortal leader, who orchestrates a counter-campaign, rallying allies and might from any corner he can find. With war looming across the land, Keith will need to unravel the secrets of a power that shattered the world eons ago. It might very well be the clan’s only salvation from the impending storm. But he will have to do so alone.
Book two of a Progression Fantasy epic set around a pseudo-medieval society clinging to existence on frozen post-apocalyptic Earth. Impossible odds, weak-to strong progression, dungeon-delving, epic battles, scavenged tech, prophecy, magic, and mystery—12 Miles Below has something for everyone.

Chris –
Good Story (and well-written!)
Often I am disappointed by what many recommend as the âbestâ progression fantasies. Despite having cool ideas, many entries in the genre just ⦠arenât well-written, unfortunately. Not so with 12 Miles Below! Is it perfect? No. Is it interesting, well-paced? Does it create a sense of tension and mystery? Does it contain cool ideas and magic systems? Yes and yes and yes. Happy to report I did not regret the money spent on this one!

Really enjoying this series!
After book one I couldn’t wait for book two, this series really has me hooked. A very interesting world with a lot of themes I’ve enjoyed from other works blended together nicely. The result is a compelling story in a world that feels familiar and yet different enough that it doesn’t seem to rehash other authors work, even when similar themes are used. Very much looking forward to continuing it!

A worthwhile read
Lots of action combined with a captivating take on what it means to be human. Good pacing makes this a book that’s hard to put down.

really wasnât expecting this to be so good
Not sure how to break this down. Author Mark Feather maneuvers politics, violence, and sci-fi to produce a highly compelling story of a dystopian future. If he can just give the budding relationships a bit more breathing room, his next book is going to be really, really good. And this one is already really good.

Better than the first book
The character and world development was very enjoyable. I wasn’t sure I would enjoy the multiple perspectives but it ended up being just as fun and fast paced as the first book.

Great story in a unique setting
This is a great story that is getting even better with time. The progression mechanics are woven cleanly into the narrative. I read a lot of litrpg and I personally don’t think the character sheets are the best part. The Cradle series is my all time favorite and 12 Miles Below is giving me the same vibe. Looking forward to book 3!

Great read!
I was so engrossed in the final battle between Keith and the slavers I couldnât stop reading, even at the check out line at the drive in waiting for my food. Work was such an inconvenience when I only wanted to finish the book. Canât wait for the next one!

I thought this one was going to be a dud, since most of the first book involved a situation that has already been resolved. To my surprise, not only is it not a dud, I think it might actually be better than the first one. Congrats, Mark!
Chris Smythe –
The story in this book was pretty slow and a little uninteresting especially when compared to the first book but the biggest issue was the lack of care taken in the writing. A lot of incorrect word choice or typos (parameter used instead of perimeter, etc) and bad formatting that made it really hard to read. Massive time and location jumps happen between sentences in the same paragraph and as a reader youâre stuck trying to sort it out.Itâs a good series and Iâll keep reading them, but I really hope a proofreader and an editor get involved before too much longer.

Book 2 was a massive step up from an already good book 1. The fights, the drama and the sheer manic ending was just a delight to read. To book 3

Warhammer40k meets Wheel of time in the world of the matrix. This book has it all, the in-depth characters, the fast paced storyline, the intrigue and the combat scene, most notably one the best duel scene I have ever had the pleasure of reading between kidra and ToâWrath. If you liked the good progression story on RR, of you liked sanderson whole bibliography, if you liked garden of the moon⦠you will love Keith and Kidraâadventures 12 miles below.
