Fast Response Times, Good Sound – Nice Upgrade Compared to Google Nest Audio
My partner has Alexa equipment and we met I had a Google Home system. Honestly, I’ve been wanting to replace Google sometime due to ongoing security concerns, Google’s awful search engine results, and at times it would randomly speak Spanish to me? Anyways.The speaker’s sound is awesome, clear, and I am enjoying trying out different music platforms to test the speakers. The mids and treble control is heard well in this speaker. Doobie brothers sounded pretty damn good from it, Dance Gavin Dance, Beastie Boys to name a few.The touch screen is a nice add on, I really like the visuals and customization. Sure, it could be better in ways but it’s premium budget smart speaker. If you’re looking for audiophile level look into Sony, Bose, etc.Communication with the unit is refreshing. Executing commands are easy and it’s responsive, Google would go brain dead on basic commands. It’s a relief that smart assistants can be reliable. I’m shocked to say it, but Alexa takes my voice for best assistant compared to Google.The speaker is capable of recognizing Dolby Atmos from music or if your phone has the feature. I love listening to audiobooks on it, Alien Out of The Shadows is a different experience compared to the Google Audio Nest.I paid for the speaker and this isn’t a paid review. I owned Google speakers for several years and watched their assistant go from reliable to giving me concerns for my safety at times. Is Alexa perfect? Probably not, but compared to my experience with Google it’s a relief.

Great bedside clock
The Echo Spot is a great alarm clock, providing access to a much wider range of music than my old (and much larger) traditional am/fm clock radio and all of the features that you would need in such a device. The Spot does not take up much space, but the display is clear and large enough to read without my glasses. Although the Spot is my first Amazon device, it was very easy to set up and learn how to use the various functions using Alexa. Itâs easier to use Alexa than fumble with the various buttons and switches on my old clock radio. The audio quality is good for an alarm clock that I will play while drifting off to sleep or waking up and getting ready for the day.

Great upgrade for bedside smart device
I purchased this to upgrade my echo dot, what a great choice. I chose this, mostly due to the screen so I could see the time and weather when I woke up instead of having a routine play on the dot. The screen is vibrant and beautiful, there are tap features to snooze alarm (which I use), a night mode (that allows darker screen for sleep, which is perfect for me since I hate light in my room at night), and the speakers are phenomenal. I listen to rains storms when I sleep and I legitimately thought thunder was rolling outside.I have used it to play music, more metal, and the sound quality is superb. The screen allows you to see the artist, song, and album while playing. So now more “alexa, who sings this song”.Set up was a breeze. Once power was on, my alexa app notified me that it was ready to connect, found the network without me going through all the set up. My only issue is that it automatically connected to my 2.4ghz network instead of my 5ghz, which all my other devices are connected too. It was an easy switch by just putting it in pairing mode and connecting to that network.Overall, great product, great price (I got it on prime day), and great sound quality. I would and have recommended this product to a handful of people already.

The setup was quite easy. Getting it paired with my IPad was a pain in the proverbial derrière. The Alexa app has a find device but does not list computer, tablet, let alone an Apple item. I eventually got it connected by powering off both machines. Had to reboot the Echo three times. Finally via the Bluetooth in the tablet got a connection. Now that it works, the speaker sound is great. With far greater ease I set up connections to radio stations both local and far away that are on the web.

 Se ve muy bonito, luce muy bien. La configuración es muy sencilla, sobre todo si optan por enlazar la configuración desde la compra. Suena bastante bien. La pantalla se aprecia perfectamente y el modo táctil responde sin ningún problema. Puedes escoger el tipo de reloj que quieras además de los colores y hacer todo lo que haces con otros dispositivos Alexa aunque esté también te ayuda a manejar otros dispositivos inteligentes. En mi caso solo lo quiero para oÃr música, noticias y su función como reloj despertador. Mis dos “peros”. Al parecer la temperatura solo la muestra en grados Farenheit y no en Celsius. Y aunque busque la opción no encontré donde cambiar esa configuración. Ãsto tal vez se arregle después con futuras actualizaciones. Y, lo enviaron en un sobre. Me parece qué tratándose de electrónicos deberÃa de manejarse un embalaje qué proteja de mejor manera el producto. Definitivamente estoy muy contento con la compra y es un producto altamente recomendable además ahorita está en un precio rebajado para miembros prime, quien sabe si baje un poco más dado que ya viene el prime day.

I bought this clock for my bedside table and itâs perfect. Itâs simplistic design with core Alexa features make this ideal for any room. I have been looking for a clock that would have a dim option for during those late/early hours so that the clock wouldnât glow at night and this one is great. I set a time frame that I want to put my clock on sleep mode and the time changes to a dim red (so easy on the eyes if I wake up in the night). I also like that you can personalize the clock face (i.e. colours, weather, etc) to whatever suits your style. The speakers are also on par with other Alexa devices (clear, good treble/bass). I donât have anything negative to say at this point. I did have a bit more trouble getting it set up, there were some pairing issues with the app but it eventually worked. Overall, I would buy this again for other bedrooms in my house.

El diseño de este ultimo echo (spot) es increible, yo lo compre en blanco por el contraste del negro de la pantalla, pero estoy seguro que en los demás colores de igual manera se verá muy bonito.Hablando de funcionalidades:- Básicamente funciona de igual manera que cualquer otro echo/alexa, aunque puede variar una que otra cosa debido a la nueva pantalla integrada.- Las animaciones que se muestran en diferentes ocasiones (al pasar un minuto en el rejol, al poner musica, al crear una alarma, etc., etc.) son muy bonitas, puedes personalizar tanto el reloj con diferentes diseños (que probablemente con el tiempo se agreguen más) y con diferentes colores (magenta, violeta, verde aqua, azul, naranja y lima).- La pantalla es táctil/touch y por esto, puedes acceder a configuraciones rapidas dentro del mismo Echo Spot (para una configuración mas detallada, abre la app de Alexa), ya sea, cambiar el color y diseño del reloj, regular el brillo de la pantalla, bajar/subir volumen, etc., etc.Puntos malos:- El Echo llegó en una bolsa de carton con burbujas (al menos a mi y a varios más) siento que al ser un dispositivo electrónico, deberÃa llegar al menos en una caja de cartón con mucha más protección- La pantalla no es un circulo como se podrÃa pensar, es un rectangulo en el centro de toda la parte negra. Cuando está el brillo alto o al máximo, se notan los bordes de esta. De lo contrario, en espacios obscuros/no tan iluminados, no se nota para nada.Conclusión:Por el precio que esta en este momento a miembros Prime, es una excelente opción. Como se aprecia en las fotos, se nota mas grande que una Alexa con reloj (olvidé el nombre) pero no es tanto como para estorbar, el tamaño es ideal. valió mucho la pena por el simple hecho de ser mucho mas elegante, con mas funcionalidades y obviamente, mas nueva y actualizada.Seguramente con el tiempo se agreguen funcionalidades para facilitar muchas mas tareas. Compra esta Alexa si quieres tener un reloj digital, una bocina de buen sonido y volúmen y obviamente, una asistente para tus tareas :)))Gracias por llegar hasta aqui y espero haber aclarado la mayoria de dudas :))

I liked how easy it was to just scan a qr code and flow through the directions. Its got a night dim feature I also like for sleep. Lastly, for such a small unit, it has very good sound. All in all good bang for the buck
