【Apple Home and Home Key Support】The U100 is a smart door lock that is fully integrated into Apple Home. It can be unlocked with the Apple home keys by simply tapping an iPhone or Apple Watch, even when the iPhone or Apple Watch is out of power. Moreover, you can manage and share door access for your guests in Apple Home.
【Fingerprint and More Ways to Unlock】The Smart Lock U100 offers multiple ways to unlock, including a high-precision fingerprint reader for up to 50 fingerprints, remotely configurable passwords via the Aqara Home app (An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub is required), one-time local passwords for visitors, and a mechanical key for emergency use. * The NFC card is not included and is sold separately.(Tips: After adding the door lock to the Aqara Home app, only the administrator’s fingerprint or password can reset the door lock.)
【Automations with Aqara and Third-Party Devices】With an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub, the Smart Door Lock U100 is compatible with third-party ecosystems like Alexa, IFTTT as well as the Aqara Home app, allowing it to be easily integrated into a wide range of smart home setups and used in smart home automations. For example, when someone presses the Aqara Video Doorbell G4, you will be able to view who is at your door and easily unlock the Door Lock U100.
【Auto Lock & Do Not Disturb Mode】Thanks to the built-in gyroscope inside the lock, the auto-lock feature locks the door for you after you close it. Alternatively, you can disable this feature and leave the door always open. Also, the Do Not Disturb mode can mute the door lock sounds within a certain period of time, to avoid affecting your family’s sleep when you get back home late.
【A Durable and Secure Biometric door Lock with Long Battery Life】 The U100 is powered by 4 AA 1.5V batteries (included) and has a long battery life of up to 8 months. Also, a USB-C port for emergency charging is available. The lock body made of zinc alloy has an IP65 rating and complies with the same safety standard as BHMA Level 3. It’s capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -31°F to 151°F. Your sensitive data (e.g., fingerprints) is stored locally and fully AES encrypted.

Customers say

Love the options to enter our home
I was at a point where my wife would get mad at me if I was home after her work shift and I didn’t unlock the door in time since her keys were always either lost, or deep in her large work bag. I decided to look into something where she didn’t have to worry about her keys anymore and it was simple and reliable for her to use. This solved all our issues. This works with HomeKit almost perfectly except for one thing.I like the fact that the fingerprint reader is accurate and fast. It never feels like we’re waiting too long for it to unlock. It takes maybe about a second to confirm your fingerprint, and then it makes a chime, and then you can hear the door unlock. I haven’t had an issue with the fingerprint reader. I know some people have complained, but I just make sure my fingers are dry and it works 99% of the time. I think the biggest flaw when using the fingerprint reader is the angle that you programmed it at. I would say, program your reader with the door closed, and as close to a real-world scenario so the angle is as accurate as possible.I like that it also has a combination code (6-digits) that you can also program in, just in case your finger is dirty or wet. This is a good back up.I like that it has a physical key as well. I’m still someone that likes to carry my keys everywhere, and it just helps with ease of mind that I know if anything electrical fails (like the battery dying), I still have my physical key to use to enter. I haven’t had any issues with the battery after 6 months, and the app still states that my battery percentage is high. I’m sure they last longer than the stated (8 months).I also like that it integrates with HomeKit. We both have iPhones and being able to use NFC by just tapping our phone on the door is amazing. I usually have my phone in my hands, and this is another cool feature to use, granted I don’t use it as much as the fingerprint reader. Also, I cannot get the HomeKit key to work on my wife’s phone, so I can’t really recommend this as a good working feature. I wanted to be able to just share the key through HomeKit whenever I need to let someone in my home when I’m not there, but the way I’ve been doing that is just unlocking it through the HomeKit app when I know someone is waiting by the door. This takes about 30 seconds for it to unlock, but it’s a nice feature to have when someone needs to get inside your home for an emergency.Overall, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to get smart home locks. I’ve already received a couple of compliments and when people come over, they ask about them all the time. Don’t spend too much time looking anywhere else, these locks make it easy to enter your home and make sure it is secured at the same time.

Amazing door lock at a good price!
The installation was very easy. Maybe took around 10 minutes to install the door lock itself. My door didn’t have a deadlock so I had to drill a hole to install one. I bought a deadbolt installation kit from Home Depot. The product itself looks good. The build quality seems as expected. No complaints there. I love the fact that it has a fingerprint reader. I considered the U50 which is cheaper but does not have a fingerprint reader. I’m glad I got the one that does because it’s much easier for many of my family members rather than having them pull out their phone to unlock it. Many of the settings are customizable in the app. I can adjust after how long I want the door to lock.Apple HomeKit works amazing too. That is the main reason I bought this product. I have had no issues getting HomeKit to work. I love that I can share the lock with family members and I also like that I can generate a one time password to let guests in the house when I’m not home. You can create automations in the HomeKit app. I created one that will lock the doors after 10:00 PM.I bought this product for $132, and I would recommend it.

I want to love it, but the batteries hold it back…
I bought three of these and have been living with them for over 3 months. I love them 99% of the time! However, my tech-challenged wife threatened to banish them from the house more than once due to frustrating issues. When it works, it works very well and I love the design and features – easy setup, seamless unlocking with my apple watch. But to avoid repeating marketing fluff and other reviewers, I’ll focus on the cons:- They run on alkaline batteries. In addition to being annoying to replace, That makes the motor too weak to overcome rubbing/misaligned striker plates or just plain inoperable below about 20°F (0°F if it’s on a heated house door). My old house is constantly shifting in the Midwestern weather and my striker plates will never stay aligned.- Connectivity with the app is slow at best. Thankfully, I rarely have reason to check the lock status in the app but when I do I’m not fully convinced it’s accurate (showing high battery level even though the lock is not working in the cold temps)- Some doors are not compatible and Aquara could easily offer an adapter kit, but I don’t think they do. I had to get creative with some door modification to get it to install on 1 of 3 doors.BATTERY WORKAROUND: I was able to supercharge one of these locks that was on my unheated garage door by using an AC battery adapter for AA batteries. These are inexpensive devices that power the lock with a wall plug. No more replacing batteries and weak lock function! Every lock operation goes super fast and secures confidently. However, I have to have an unsightly cord running along my door or heavily modify my door to hide the wire. Not an issue for a garage but unacceptable for a house.I’ll be first in line when Aquara offers a more powerful battery version (Lithium Ion?), and in the meantime I’ll enjoy it when it works and try to fend off my wife’s frustrations when it doesn’t. Wish me luck.

Had this lock for a few months now, it is on the main door so it is used very frequently and has not missed a beat, we have both the pin and fingerprint setup and it works flawlessly, the only issue is that it requires a separate hub to connect to Google assistant which is what we use for our smart home, otherwise it is configurable via the aqara app on Bluetooth.Installation process was a breeze, instructions were clear and informative, weather seal seems to work very well on rainy days.
