Very helpful
I purchased this book while I was thinking about purchasing Dragon Naturally Speaking and was much encouraged by what I read. I then purchased Dragon and I have found this book most helpful in setting it up, getting it started and learning to use it. It is clear, very easy to use and practical in its approach.

Better for introduction to Dragon
Well-written and informative book for NEW users of Dragon. Is quite up to date with the Version 12 information. Thought as an experienced user of Dragon I might pick up some information about tricks or techniques of which I was unaware, but found this to be a good trainer for basic orientation for new or casual user.

Very informative!
I’m still reading it because I’m reading about 8 other books right now, but it’s clarified everything I needed to know so far and there’s still lots of info in it that I haven’t gotten to yet. Dragon’s a great product and the way I see it, if you have a great guide to go with it, you can’t go wrong. It’s worth adding to your order.

Good Product
There is a bit of a learning curve but once you learned its keywords you are very productive. The software does like a lot of memory and you may have to upgrade your computer memory to get the best performance. Also â the manual recommends you restart your computer daily â who does that anymore? This sounds like there is a memory leak.

A lot of helpful tips
I had already read the documentation that came from Dragon cover to cover. As in all manufacturers documentation, it can be cumbersome and difficult to read. This is where the dummies book came in handy. It’s not so much that there were items and techniques not covered in the manufacturers augmentation. It’s that this is very readable. I picked up some techniques that I didn’t get originally.

A lifesaver!
Do you know how incredibly liberating it is to say something and have it change into text? Sure that is dragon itself, but this book gives you a higher edge to it all. I know the basics of dragon, but it took my basics and took me more into advance. I can do just about everything online with this book as well as write my own. My favorite sections are the ones that really affirm that even though my accent was hard, it could learn it. It did! Oh and of course the cheat sheets with all the info on them. I kept them beside me for a time, and sometimes still glimpse at them, but I’ve become much better at the commands to move around myself, I hardly need the book cheats anymore.

a good aid for learning the capabilities of dragon
I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for well over a decade. I am generally adverse to reading manuals.this becomes more problematic when they are in PDF files on the computer. The dummy manuals are designed for beginners and lazy people. I am the latter. Being able to jump from one page to another something in my lap is much more convenient and staring at a manual on the screen. Most of the dummy manuals are well done.

Training The Dragon
This guide made Dragon a breeze to start up, train and use. I have pretty severe carpal tunnel, and I am a writer, so Dragon has come to my rescue. Easy to train it and yourself. The trick: SPEAK CLEARLY, make corrections when errors happen, don’t wait. I would have been lost for a long time without this gook. Kudos to Ms. Diamond.

Leider nicht mehr ganz aktuell â Stand 2013, gibt dieses Buch in englischer Sprache eine recht gute Ãbersicht zum Weltmarktführer für Spracherkennungssoftware.

I thought this book was hugely helpful and I found it easy to read completely before starting with the dragon programme. As a result the programme was easy to understand and useable almost immediately. Now thw book is a useful reference as I gradually build up my skills on Dragon.

If there is a fault in it, it is that it covers things in detail which happen pretty much automatically anyway, but that is not a big fault and might be more helpful to others than to me. If you haven’t used voice recognition before, reading this could make the difference between getting on with it and giving up with it.

As always with the Dummy books you get clear advice. I have found this book very helpful, I do wish though that, because I have an Apple Mac that some parts could help me there
