Audiobook four of the best-selling Eden’s Gate series!
Edgewood is under attack, and the threat of war lingers across the Serpent Sea. A thief is becoming a thorn in Gunnar’s side, and a tempting elf is getting a little feisty.
In order to protect their village, the members of Unity will need to work together to level up and find better gear. They’ll need to lay the foundation of a castle that can serve as a fortification from intruders.
But what if there’s a better way?
When Gunnar learns the king of Highcastle will grant an audience to anyone who wins an arena championship, he decides to enter the competition as a gladiator. If he can earn a meeting with the ailing king and persuade him to stop Dryden before his dragon flies, he can save Edgewood and countless lives. He’ll also get his name posted in every arena, which could lead Rachel one step closer to finding him.
The arena is a spectacle where people gather to watch fighters put their skills to the test, earn fame, and take home gold. Does Gunnar have what it takes to become a champion, or has he bitten off more than he can chew?

Outstanding, again., other times he’s dragged into some nasty coincidences .I know for some of you out there the pacing may be a bit slow, but I like it this way. I like to see the nuances of leveling and advancing skills. I think it’s a lot of fun. As long as it doesn’t bog down the story, which it does not to me, I like seeing the mechanics in the storyline. If you enjoyed the previous three books in this series, this one’s is near the top of my list. Get it. Read it. Review it. No disappointments from this reader. If you haven’t read any of these books, pick up the first one in the series! You’ll like them all!
If you’ve gotten this far in the series, then reading these reviews are just an affirmation of how good this book will be compared to others in the series. You will not be disappointed! Our main character provides the evidence that he’s not a one man show. Gunner Long depends on the people around him. That means the Reborns and the NPCs.As an example, it gets kind of tense knowing that keeping Rina alive is of #1 importance during battle. Without her, NPCs will not be rezzed! That’s the true death, the end of the line, and you can feel its going to happen at any moment. That’s down-right scarry as hell.Gunner and his entourage do seem to get caught up in some unusual messes. Sometimes he sticks his own foot-in-mouth

Another great addition to the Eden’s Gate series
In The Arena, Gunnar (the main protagonist) continues to further develop his combat and leadership skills in an exciting new chapter of the Eden’s Gate series. Brody continues to build a unique world with surreal characters and environments. The action scenes, as always, are top notch and exhilarating. However, this novel by far had the most editorial issues (proofreading errors and typos) out of the series thus far. Yet, this novel was still an excellent LitRPG with a well developed plot.

Best of the four books
This was the best book of all four so far. This IMO had the most fighting, romantic scenes, adventure and plot twists then all the others. Very exciting to read. Spoiler!! Can wait for Gunnar to learn levitation and i do not for the life of me understand why he didnt place the drug he bought into his necklace instead of his backpack knowing its illegal⦠Glad the snake was cooperative and that Gunnar has boult a relationship with the king.

Another good chapter in a great series
I continue to very much enjoy this series. It’s very well written, with plenty of action. I also like how we started to see longer term plot points such as how the NPC’s are going to feel about a bunch of immortals. That being said*** spoilers ****I thought the final arena section where he binds to the stone at the end was forced. I get the author wants to make a believable series where the hero makes errors. But even a dummy would have to know what was happening there. Don’t bind to the damn stone. Something more believable (albeit less dramatic) would have been for him to make them kill him, and then they show the audience his body disappearing.Still all that being said I very much enjoyed it, and look forward to the next book.

This was a great continuation in the series
This was a great continuation in the series, I do admit I hate when the end just has you begging for more (cliff hanger); but overall I thought It was a great book and like most of Edens gate it wasn’t just multiple battles against one villains in the book but a collection of storms and micro-storms so to speaks with a some periods of calm before the storm that gives a nice back and forth between action and taking a quick breather. In regards to people criticizing the end I agree with the author who posted about in a recent Facebook post. The MC was presented with very few logical outs and went with the path of least resistance.

solid entry into the litrpg genre.
Characters are pretty good, some items seem overly forced and donât make a ton of sense (Aaron) but fun story so far, and itâs nice to see a âgroup effortâ among the characters which is often left out.

The MC has finally gone too far into stupid
From book one there have been moments where the MC makes an obvious, blatant stupid decision that has made me cringe. I was able to write it off as âpeople make mistakes IRLâ, especially as the books were pretty decent otherwise. But the author went too far this time. There is a point where the main character decides to visit the king concerning the threat to the kingdom revealed in the last book. At first this seems reasonable, given that he is friends with the head General. However, instead of leveraging that relationship he tries to just walk in the castle. Heâs denied of course, but then things seem back on track when the General runs into him at the gates. However, the MC then refuses to tell the general about it and instead plans to meet the king by becoming an arena champion despite being low level. And whats worse is neither of his normally sane companions point out the problem. This is pushing the bounds of credulity waaaay too far. Especially with all of the points The MC had been dropping into intelligence and Wisdom.

Great litrpg story
I love this series but there is one problem with it and you can’t fix it now as it’s already book 4. The problem is you gave him a soul bound bag in the first book but every time he dies the stuff inside gets lost too. That just doesn’t make any sense to me. What’s the use of the bag except he can carry more stuff. You could have given a regular bag of holding and not made it soul bound. Just saying it’s kinda messed up is all. Otherwise the story is top notch and I’ve bought all of them and am waiting for the next book in the series.

This series has really surprised me by how good it is. I used to be a Netflix and chill guy, now I’m an Eden’s Gate and chill guy. This is one of those rare series that you never want to end.I’ll be honest, the first Eden’s Gate book sat in my kindle library for quite some time and I decided to try to get back into reading during lockdown. I’m so glad that I did and I’m now 4 books deep into this sensational series. I can’t wait to see what Gunnar and his friends get up to next.

I love team battles and this book is full of it, so with each page I get more and more excited. Looking forward to the new book, I can not wait.

Book 4 already? I need more!Gunner spends a bit more time with his guildmates, the ‘PC’ ones, and struggles with a moral quandary carried over from book 3, The Sands. There are a lot of consequences in this world, and would-be heroes must think very carefully about the choices they make as there’s a lot of chickens coming home to roost here.As usual from this author, there’s gripping action, great fight mechanics, a very well-fueled story-engine that powers the plotline along, with some surprises and laughs along the way. Get it now and complete your set! (Till book 5, anyway).
