So far, so good
I purchased this lock to replace another smart lock that malfunctioned. Installation was pretty standard, took about 5 minutes to install and about 15 minutes to program. So far, this lock has held up just fine and there are no issues. The fingerprint scanner is finicky and does not work every time. I also wish that you could use rf cards instead of just the app or pin pad.

Solid system and easy to install
Weâve had it about a month and yhis lock is working well for our needs. We especially love the fingerprint aspect of it. Looks sleek and feels sturdy. While the lock itself is great, the app could do with a few tweaks. It took several attempts to get the app set up on more than one device. It kept referring back to the original phone it had been set up with. It sometimes confused one person for another re: who locked or unlocked the door. No biggie for us but could be problematic if using this for maybe a business where youâre allowing access to different people, and want to know whoâs coming and going. So it was a bit of undoing and redoing at the start but works seamlessly now. We also like being able to independently customize the type of alerts we want to get.

I’ve owned the C220 lock for a month and have found it to work really well. It took about 10 minutes to install and no modifications to my door were needed. The lock is well constructed and is heavy. The management app is well done and easy to navigate.Things to note:1. Some older people can have hard to read fingerprints. This is not specific to Eufy. Use a code number for them instead if this is a problem.2. The battery life on my lock has been great as my wifi is close by. The further away the lock is from your WIFI access point, the more demand there is on the batteries. This is why some people report great battery life while others complain it’s terrible. I believe it took 8 batteries.. it should last a long time.3. No more smart hub!! Good riddance. Adding and removing codes or fingerprints is FINALLY easy! This might be the biggest difference.4. The touch keypad CAN be seen in direct sunlight5. I did not try the geofencing but it has the capability, provided everyone in the family has the app on their phone. It could auto-lock and auto unlock if configured to do so.6. I did not test doorbell or camera integration – but it has that feature.Gripes: These are small but need to be noted1. For renters: temporary/scheduled access codes work fine but there is no integration with text messaging (or email) to create the code and send it in a single process. Heck, the app is already managed on your mobile – why not do this? Now I have to separately send a text with all the details when this could have been easier.2. When using a number codes, you have to press the keypad once to wake it up, enter the code, and then press the enter key on the bottom right of the panel. Why do I need to press enter? Why not open the lock after a second if no additional keys are pressed and the code is correct? Now you have to tell potential renters of this requirement to press the enter key. My point is: the enter key is not be obvious to people unfamiliar with the lock.3. On the app, the battery life is shown as a tiny battery picture with lines filled in for battery life remaining. Would it have killed them to put a percentage number next to it?Overall, this is the best lock that I have tried and I have tried about 6 others to date. I hope you found this review useful.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with this! I absolutely love Eufy! I have their cameras as well and found them to be great so wanted to try this. We have a touchpad in place, but it is awful and 4 years old. With this one it works seamlessly. It was easier to install since we already had a similar one on. I am so surprised how easy it was to set up which the video is amazing for set by step. I love it and connects to the eufy app and you can get alerts whenever it is used. I do like the thumbprint feature, but it doesnât always work for me, but the keypad always works. I just went on vacation and set up a passcode for my parents and they loved it as well said it was super easy to use. If you are thinking of buying this just do it, I personally think it is worth every penny.

Works well and quality hardware
I replaced a previous model that did not have wifi built-in and the install went super smooth since both were very similar. Some difference is that new unit uses 8 AAs whereas old unit uses just 4 AAs. I suppose wifi requires more juice since it has to be connected 24/7. Also of note is the physical key is different than the old unit. Old unit uses an interesting U shaped key that maybe harder for lock pickers (average lock pickers), but new unit uses the simple key you find on locks like quickset locks which is much easier to pick/bump etc. Also there is no cover that covers the keyway to make it less obvious that there is a keyway which I prefer. I suppose I will just make my own covert cover. The deadbolt is much smoother to operate than my old unit. I like that I can operate the lock while away from the house and get notified on my phone when the lock is opened or locked again. A friend said thieves might hack the lock to get in, but I think there are way more easier ways to get into the house than waisting their time defeating some electronics so to me this is added convienience without that much of a compromise.

Coming form a Wyze lock, this look feels so much more premium. Installation was pretty simple, except for the calibration part which keep on failing for some reason. Eventually got it to work by using some of the tips and tricks that I found online. The finger scanning works very well for me, but not so much for my kid. He prefers using the number pad anyways. I really like that there are so many ways of opening the lock, great for everyone at our house.

Easy to install as long as you don’t need the round adapter. You’ll have to wait for that.Set up with the app is very straight forward.Very handy to see if the door is locked or not from the app. (Main reason for upgrading).Finger print is a great feature. The keypad can be a bit tricky, but not a real issue.Time will tell how long the batteries actually last.Has a very smooth lock and unlock action. Feels like good solid quality that will last.Would recommend this lock especially when on sale.

Very easy to install and the app is user friendly. My family loves the finger prints function. I like the fact that we can also use the key in case the lock run out of battery. But it would be nice if the key lock could be hidden, so it canât be picked. Love the fact that I can see and unlock/lock the door from my mobile app. The mobile app itâs very neat and offers a lot information and functionality. I would prefer if the whole family could use the same digital code to unlock the door instead of a unique code for every one.Wonder if someday they will have face recognition?

I bought this when I saw it on sale along with the security doorbell. Bought it to replace my Alfred smart lock that I was never able to get working and just remained a dumb lock. The eufy was easy to install and works pretty good. I love that I have access to both my doorbell and smart lock on the same app, it gives you peace of mind and saves you from having to get up at night when you canât remember if you locked the door or not, just check the app, the passcode access works good, the finger print feature is hit or miss but I can live with out that.

I had high hopes for this product as it had everything (built-in wifi, fingerprint, codes, physical key), but despite being relatively easy to install, the deadbolt “seizes” every few times and refuses to open/close until I force the thumb latch quite hard. I tried recalibrating it countless times, removed and replaced it four times and still it would not work correctly. This is definitely a security/safety issue with this lock, and I am not willing to take my chances that it will not open or close in the event of an emergency. I cannot recommend this lock at all.
