This is a wonderful lock, works every time. The finger print reader is the best part, makes for quick access, no fumbling for keys or having to punch in a PIN code. Highly recommend.

Great door lock
Easy to install. The handle really makes it easier to open. It works better on the the deadbolt slot or if you have a single door knob. Itâs just wonderful you can open or lock it with your phone from anywhere. You also get a notification when your kids get home from school. Which is great for me.No more lost keys. I really havenât tried the fingerprint feature .

Latch became frozen while closed after 3 weeks
Pretty easy to install. Was fully functional for 3 weeks. App worked well and it was easy to unlock using the app, code, finger print or key. After 3 weeks of working great the latch got jammed. Couldnât open from inside or outside. Tried unlocking using all methods but nothing worked. Eventually had to uninstall and had to use a crow bar to pry the door open and unfreeze the latch. Once the door was open the latch was able to function well again but not taking a chance re-installing only for the same issue to occur again. Despite initially working really well this product only gets one star from me. After doing some research there are apparently other eufy door handles and deadbolts where this occurs (possibly due to a faulty mechanism in the latch?)

Iâve been looking for a handle lock like this, and I have a lot of Eufy products that I think work very well. I was looking to replace the Schlage combination handles Iâve had for so long that worked so well, but all of my kids friends know the codes to get into my house. Not that they would use them, but if they shared them, I didnât feel comfortable and it wasnât easy to change codes every time that I felt compromised.I was looking for a new handle combination that included fingerprint recognition, and quick code changing options along with temporary codes that would work only once or within a certain time frame and this lock clicked all of the boxes. I have an older home and a dead lock wouldnât work because the door jams are warped and didnât always line up correctly for unobstructed engagement unless the door was shut with the same force every time.Anyways, my first concern was with the lack of instructions for door assembly, it took a while for me to look at everything that was delivered for installation and figure out what was needed and what was extra. Itâs not hard to install, but they sent extra screws and in my past if you have extra, you missed something.After installation, the app recognized the lock and began showing me the installation process, which I had already completed. You can choose a long code or a short code to unlock the door, 1 digit up to I think 10. Programming the fingerprint is a lot like the old fingerprint programming for iPhones, about 8 different scans, at different angles. New users are easy to set up, and code changes are easy.Iâve used this lock for about a week, fingerprint recognition was a little weak in the beginning but the last three days has been perfect. It learned. It also shows a log of who came in, if they used their code or by fingerprint.My only complaint is there isnât a way to unlock it for an extended period of time, like if you have guests over for parties or something like that where guests wouldnât be normally granted access to your home. You can delay the lock, but you canât unlock it until relock it manually.Eufy, please add this option in future software releases as an option to unlock it, even if itâs for a specific time period.Otherwise, for people in my immediate family, we really like the finger print access this grants, itâs quicker than a code. One note, keep your fingers dry, it doesnât like wet fingers.

I have tried multiple different smart locks, and this one is my favorite.The physical feeling of this lock is much higher quality than others I have tried.The fingerprint read is VERY FAST, versus other locks that have a significant delay.The app is easy to use, and is accessible through wifi, without a separate gateway like many others.I replaced all my smart door locks with Eufy.

Goes through battery like drinking water
Bought and installed in July. It has been 2 months and i’ve replace 8 AA batteries 3 times so far. It passes the return window i am stuck with this now; but definitely will shop for another one. It is not reliable if you are out of town for awhile and won’t be able to open it due to battery issue. My guess is that it has to connect to wifi all the time and it drains the batteries? who knows, but that’s also a flaw in this type of products. No wifi, you’re done.I will go back to a non-smart pad lock which i didn’t even have to change the battery once over 4 years of use.Contacted support from their website and they sent me an email instead, which asks for a video to show problem with the product. Still wondering how i am gonna do this. Go outside the door, and lock myself out?

Great Lock
This door lock is great for my office door. Keeps my teenagers out of my office when I’m working or doing something important. Just having the door shut didn’t keep them out. It works with the Eufy app, uses fingerprint recognition and code. I can unlock it when I am not home via the Internet.

I got this smart lock to replace our old, regular lock. The features I was really looking forward to were the keyless options (fingerprint and PIN). They work well! The fingerprint reader is efficient and works as expected (not 100% of the time, sometimes you have to reposition your finger and try again). To enjoy all the features of this lock you need a good Wi-Fi as most of them are controlled via the app. My partner installed it by himself and told me that following the instructions was easy and quick. As other reviewers mentioned, this is a regular handle lock and does not have a deadlock (so it’s not as secure). We have a separate deadlock on our front door that we can lock at night and when going out for a long time, so I don’t really mind.

This is the 3rd Eufy device I have installed in my house. I had very good experience with the other two devices, and this one lives up to my expectations as well.Installation is easy; and you can scan a code to watch the installation video if you donât know how to do it, but I have replace enough locks in my life to not need any instruction. The only issue I had was that the latch faceplate that comes with this lock is thicker than my old one, and usually the double-layered faceplate can be taken apart but on this lock the two layers are fused together, so I had to chisel the hole for the faceplate on the door to make it fit. Otherwise than that the replacement was a breeze. Done in half an hour by one person. It already comes with the handle so I left my deadbolt lock on and took off the old handle. This allows me to âdoubleââ lock it and have double security. It works with doors with just one hole for the lock as well. Technically speaking you can even install it on your bedroom door if you are renting just one room in the house. This lock can be used literally anywhere in the house with minimum âmodificationsâ to do to the door. Easy and versatile.The fingerprint scanner is sensitive and picks up the fingerprint almost every time. The placement of the scanner makes unlocking and opening the door one natural, fluid and effortless motion. The keypad is responsive, and the in-app unlocking works pretty good as well, with minimum delay. If everything fails, it does come with a physical key that can be used to unlock the door, and an emergency type C charging port. It has all the features and functions that I can ever ask for.It takes 8 AA batteries, which are supposed to last a whole year, I canât attest to it because I havenât had it for a year, but my other eufy lock does do pretty good on battery. I do like the fact that it uses regular batteries instead of some special rechargeable lithium batteries that may die in a few years and you canât even find a replacement for. My other eufy lock has the special battery, and I canât seem to find a second battery for it, so every time I need to charge it, I have to take it out of the lock and the lock becomes unusable (but can still be locked physically from inside). It is a small hassle but that is the hassle you donât need to worry about with this lock. And I think the use of AA batteries also makes the lock last longer, cause you can always get AA batteries easily, but the locks with special batteries will need to get replaced when their batteries break/stop charging.I already use the eufy app for the other devices, but even for first time users, it is pretty straightforward. You can easily see who opened the lock, give instant or temporary access to your guests, which is useful for rental properties. I have no issue with their app.I love this lock, itâs not too bulky, looks stylish even on an older door, it has all the functionalities you need in an electric lock. If you have a rental property, or a forgetful senior/child at home, this is an upgrade you will not regret making. Going keyless will make your life a lot easier. This lock offers convenience and security, along with the peace of mind that you wonât be lock out of your own house by mistake.
