Fraud/Scam
This book was plagiarized from a website. The book directed me to a link to download a workbook and a scam alert popped up letting me know that I could be liable for damages. I immediately returned the book with the printed page with this information on it.

Not good at explaining
I know excel well but wanted to learn pivot tables. This book says for beginners and the topics generally are but the writer does a poor job of explaining each topic. The explanations/instructions are cursory, and for someone like me, that makes it difficult to learn. Plus the links to example workbooks on line (which is a very important feature for me in purchasing the book) point to a website saying the book is plagiarizing their workbooks. It may be great for some, but a challenge for me and a waste of $20.

Lots of Plaigiarized and Stolen Content
I’m shocked to see how this author even made this book. Lots of plagiarized content from other websites, simply stealing their blog posts and workbooks and writing as if he was the one who owns all of these. A complete copy pasting of multiple blog posts from different websites wherein he has zero ownership. Not only does it give a bad name to the websites he plagiarized, but this author should not be allowed to publish books with stolen content in the first place.

Ethically Challenged
The link provided in this book takes you to Excel training web site which is not associated with MG Martin. Furthermore, you can’t get to the exact file. Looks somewhat close but it is not what is being used as an example in the book. I contacted the web site and they did not have any positive comments about the author. Very strange to say the least. It appears that the author was plagerizing someone’s else’s spreadsheet. Not sure what to make of all this.

Scam notice: No spreadsheet of its own
Finally in Chapter 3 there is a link to a practice spreadsheet. That page says the Martin book is a scam plagiarizing materials from the original. On that site the spreadsheet upload is unavailable.
