Not what I expected
The book is a quick read with some helpful information. I was expecting more. Too many pages were used to provide licensing agencies information, by State. Resources can easily be found online.

Low effort, generic waste of time
This was a tiny 60 page book, large font, 1.5 spaced. It felt like whoever wrote it created it like she had a 20 page term paper due and just messed with the margins and font to hurriedly turn it in before midnight. Literally a third of the book was just a listing of the dept of human services office phone numbers addresses and website for each office in ALL 50 states, as if we all donât have smart phones. Itâs like she copied and pasted the top three Google results for âhow to start your own daycareâ, rearranged it, and then turned into a book. I would not recommend it.

Not much here
Well, I found the title misleading, I was looking for info on how to start a day care from my home – meaning, in my mind, a home day care. This seemed to be more how to plan opening a day care while you are sitting at home (as in doing the actual planning work)! So, most of the info was for a more commercial day care center, with parking, curriculum, dietician, etc. I guess that is on me.second, the book is 63 pages, fine, but pages 22-41 simply list day care licensing requirements by state, maybe 2-3 states per page. This is for phone numbers and web sites – seems like an awful lot of filler! A smaller font for a back of the book appendix might have made more sense.

Good information.
There is a lot of basic information in this book and it gives you the websites by state, so you can get all the help you need. I learned a lot from this resource.
