Feeling protected
With all these current data breaches, I’m glad a program like this exists. It’s easy to use and worth it in my opinion.

The product you didn’t know you needed.
The best anti virus product out there. You can even download it on your phone and stay alerted and protected on my of your devices. The installation was easy and once you get connected with it all you have to do it let it scan in the background. Great overall

I will never buy MacAfee again!! I couldn’t get it downloaded so I called MacAfee for help. I was on the phone for 2 hours. They took control of my computer. I watched everything they were doing and most of the time they were not trying to download the software. They put software on my computer that would let them gain access to my computer anytime they wanted. They uninstalled my “Super AntiSpyware” from my computer. They put “Zoho Assist” on my computer and “RemoteDVR” on my computer. Plus, a couple of other software programs. 2 hours later, they still didn’t have MacAfee fixed and installed. I was speaking with John P., then Danielle was added to the conversation, and finally with a person named John B. He said the problem was with the MacAfee program, they’ve had problems with it. So why are they selling defective software on Amazon? I finally told John B. I saw that they had uninstalled my “SuperAnti Spyware” and asked him why they removed it. He didn’t answer me, he just skirted around the question. I then told them to remove all the MacAfee software and that I wanted a refund. He removed the MacAfee software but not the other software. I removed the other programs when I was finally off the phone with MacAfee. The next day, the Zoho Assist, RemoteDVR , and MCLL were back on my computer. I removed the software again and it appears it is staying removed so far. Now the refund. I called to request a refund. To give me a refund, they asked for the first 6 numbers and the last 4 numbers of my credit card. Huh?! I told them to just keep the $80; if MacAfee and Amazon need the money that badly they can keep it. So, they’ve sent me a way to get the refund online, hopefully that’ll work. Amazon doesn’t do refunds on software, which I understand, but still, what ever happened to good old fashioned customer service. And I didn’t speak to one person who could speak English well enough for me to understand them without having to ask them to repeat what they said.

Constant popup reminders of services and feature ruins an otherwise effective and robust product
My comments are for McAfee+ Advanced Individual 2024. I bought this product so you can count an unbiased opinion.This version is McAfee’s upper end security product and it has many very useful features. Including my favorite their “Personal Data Cleanup” which scans these data broker sites that quietly collect your personal information and try to sell it to the public. Data Cleanup will remove them from their sites as they are required to by law if requested.But there’s a rather annoying fly in the ointment, and that’s McAfee’s constant product feature notification popups. See the attached photos. For example, every time my Windows browser Edge updates itself, McAfee nudges me to install their “Web Protection” services. It also repeatedly asks me to install their protection on other devices, and there are more. Unlike their largest competitor, you can’t tell the software to “never remind me again”. So they keep going, over and over again, and according to McAfee Technical support it’s a known complaint and “they are working on it.”As I said, “Advanced Individual” offers many features and services for the price. It would seem like correcting this annoying shortfall would be relatively easy for their developers.
