Windows laptop -Take it slow on Installation- then it’s easy
From past purchases I’ve learned a few things- take the activation slow.Take a photo of the 25 digit activation code.Wait 10 minutes before proceeding. I’ve rushed before and it seemed to mess things upAs you active…….wait, wait wait…your computer may seem like it isn’t doing anything, but a prompt will come up. You may want to minimize a current page to see McAfee working in the backgroundMcAfee will ask you for a credit card number….go ahead and put it in, this is for next years renewal, after all is up and running, go to your McAfee acct and turn it off…otherwise next year’s renewal will be more $$$ than Amazon

I ended up choosing McAfee again for one reason, the lack of annoying ads (hint: Norton).Unfortunately the safe search feature (which rates websites for security) doesn’t seem to work on Chrome, or at least my computer it doesn’t.The second + feature is that if you need to talk/chat with a live person it’s not impossible, albeit it’s not easy.It’s pretty easy to install/run and doesn’t seem to clog up your computer time like others can.Yes, it does have automatic renewal (at a higher price than Amazon), but it can be cancelled.Take note though, I cancelled my auto renewal feature last year, got an email confirmation of cancellation, at it STILL renewed anyway (had to call customer service and get a refund).Overall 3 stars.
