Finger Bot that works!
Alternative to the other well known finger bot-esque device. This works exactly as described, zero complaints. I’m using it in an automation that runs every day, so time will tell how long the mechanism holds up for. For now, zero complaints

You probably need the gateway too
I was really impressed how well this is engineered (lots of versatility) but the description could use improvement. You can’t use schedule or voice control without the extra gateway so all you get is a remote control on the app. (Pull up app, select device and now press the button; compared to getting up and walking over to press the button.)

Will not connect to any device
Tried for over an hour and scanning did nothing and with manual look up it gos back to scanning waste of time sending it back. I have multiple wireless devices and never had this trouble

Battery lasts about a month
I lost it but it does a very good job it’s just small and very easy to lose. The battery did last a little over a month but I barely used it (keep that in mind)

Worked seamlessly, realistically need gateway
Updated 9/13/24 to note that in order for you to trigger the fingerbox outside of bluetooth distance, you need a separate gateway. Knocked off a star for this because most situations I’d want to use this would be either via remote triggers when I’m away from home. I just hadn’t noticed because I hadn’t realized this limitation until I finally tried to turn on my PC while I was at work.Pros:> button presses are pretty strong> the app allows for customized on and off heights to the switch> comes with extra attachments for different types of switches/buttons> came with sticky pads – used it as my computer power switcher and it’s been holding up> It was picked up by Alexa seamlesslyCons:> This device is connected via BLUETOOTH only, not wifi. As a result, you can’t truly be away from home and have this device triggered. That limits much of the automation I’d imagine people would want to configure this a part of. However there is an option to use the osprey wireless smart gateway to bridge this to the internet.> only comes with 2 sticky pads so you can swap where you use it one time before having to buy more pads> no way to trigger capacitive buttons – to be fair that’s not advertised as a feature in the first place, but the one thing I’d actually want to use this for (my coffee machine) uses a capacitive power button so I can’t use this device for that purpose.Overall this thing was super easy to setup and add to Alexa. Now i can ask Alexa to turn on my PC from anywhere (edit: around the HOUSE. Not having built in wifi is a big bummer TBH but at least there’s an way to bridge it to the internet using a gateway). I couldnt think of a more creative way to use it and am a bit bummed that I can only really move it one time before having to figure out the sticky pad situation. The app feels pretty barebones, but how much can you do with a smart switch anyways? Setting up the on and off positions was easy and straightforward as well. There is a feature to auto detect the trigger height but it didn’t work for me, or at least it seemed to want to go further than necessary. Either way I’m happy with this and woul

Great for the lazy guy in me
Worth the price? 4/5Would I buy again? 4/5I’m as lazy as they come, and my espresso machine has a power button versus a switch. I don’t like getting up in the mornings and I want the machine on at certain times. That’s where this comes in.Setup was very easy – download the app, pair, then you’re good to go. Integration with Google assistant was just as easy. Pair it with routines? Now I don’t even have to think about turning the machine on manually. I’d get more for the other switches at our apartment, especially as the price won’t break the bank.

Neat tool.
This thing is pretty cool overall and if you need to physically press a button for whatever reason then this will do it remotely as expected. It has adjustable pressure to not damage the button and has access to the whole osprey automation system.Caveat: You need access to the Osprey gateway or something similar to make use of the button in any realistic situation. Otherwise it only connects to Bluetooth.
