More reliable than August lock!
So first off, I want to preface this by saying I’ve been a user of the August lock since 2021 or so, And the August experience while functional for what I needed it to be was never great. However this Phillips lock is a far, far better improvement then the August lock.My biggest gripe with the August lock was the fact that it was not reliable both from a network standpoint and a continual lack of security, with random openings of the lock and weird times and or random inability to access the lock at critical times. Which was extremely frustrating.This Philips lock has resolved all my problems. It is so fast to open and close the door it’s unbelievable. Not once have I lost network connection or been unable to access it from the app. Some people are saying that the app is not great but truly you don’t need a super fancy app to open and close your lock. You really don’t!Pros of this lock:Clean uncluttered and smooth app, no lagAbility to add fingerprintsAbility to see the battery status of your lock and all its accessories ( Come on August why was this so difficult to do)Easy integration with Alexa and Google HomeEasy passcodes, easy history viewAbility to assign codes… temporary and otherwiseCons:So far none, I will update this if I encounter any cons.

Don’t agree with low ratings of other reviews
The product is as advertised. It was easy to install. I installed the lock and keypad, but did not install the door sensor. The key is to make sure the dead bolt lock opens / closes smoothly first. I had no problems with connecting the app to my wifi, with the lock or the keypad. The fingerprint set up went smoothly too. I was even able to easily add it to my Google home.The video on Amazon, along with the pictures, were a big help.The lock, keypad, fingerprint and app are all working great! I can’t comment on the battery life as I just installed it today.A definite buy.

Very easy way to smarten up your front door
Easy to set up and good instructions. Iâd give it 5 stars if the App was a) supported Face ID/fingerprint login on iOS and b) supported Siri. I have create a Siri short cut that works, but itâs kinda kludgy, and it needs top be âcontinued on the companion deviceâ if you try using Siri on HomePod

Performs as advertised
I’m very happy with how fast it locks and unlocks. I have another lock that opens it much slower than this lock does. The quality is very nice and the performance has been consistent. I haven’t had any issues with it connecting to my router even though it is attached to a door the furthest away from my Internet. The instructions were clear and straight forward making the installation a breeze. One thing that I feel could use some improvement is the app. The user interface looks so outdated. It looks like some sort of start up company instead of a reputable brand. Additionally, I wish I could set the auto lock timer to be longer than 3 minutes. In three minutes, that doesn’t give me enough time to get to my car, get something quick and come back in.
