He lost friends, loved ones, and even himself. With no sign of his brother Liam, Tad must face his champion rank-up trial, gain strength, and save his brother alone.

What of other loose ends? What of the mysterious void egg, or his new silver dagger, Agony? Worse yet, wearing the skin of his former enemy, how will it interfere with his relationships?

Such a great read and continuation.
This book really ups the stakes of the world and the possibilities that power brings for Tad. I really wasn’t sure that I was going to enjoy the certain trope that is present but Konrad Ryan really brought it around and made what is typically an overdone trope and made its entire focus key to the plot moving forward. For that alone I have to say well done. The continued dynamics between the characters and their interactions is spectacular and keeps you fully engrossed from start to finish.Spectacular read and I’m off to read the next.

Very good book in an improving series
I discovered this series last week, have now finished the first four books, and am waiting for book 5 to be released next week. It is well done progression and Litrpg work and I am looking forward to Book 5. My only complaint with books 1-3 is that I periodically felt they focused too exclusively on the MC and his progression, while neglecting the world and social system in which he lived. Yes he was advancing, but so what? How was his advancement going to impact his world and those around him? In Book 4 those around him and the world at large were a more integral part of the story and I became much more engaged in the story. Now there is a wider cast of characters that I care about, greater threats to them personally, and greater threats to the world at large. If you enjoy Litrpg give this series a try and I think you will find it enjoyable.

  3. A fan of books

    Pretty good, not perfect.
I’m not a huge fan of cliffhanger endings and this one had two. The only other complaint I have is more of a personal opinion. Battles get tedious if they derail the story progression too often. This book slipped over that line for me. Well written though and I think the core story is interesting and different.

    Talk about a boost
If you are a follower of the story you know this is a good one. Now we’ve always wondered how is Tad going to get stronger well we find out. No spoilers here but it is a good one some things I didn’t expect occurred and I found them invigorating there were also a few things I found tough to swallow. They make sense once you process everything but initially when the change is introduced in this book you were like what wait a minute how is this going to work. It was a case where I wouldn’t have minded if the author actually did a rough algebra example of the statistics involved. I don’t wanna go into details because it would spoil what happens overall it makes sense once you crunch the numbers but I think an example would’ve been perfect here. My only other issue here is it kind of felt bad to see them MC always confronted by some overwhelming force. I was glad to see him overcome these forces but it really sucked to just hear no hear somebody I should never be able to touch. It happens multiple times in the book some force I shouldn’t be able to touch some force I shouldn’t be able to touch some forced I shouldn’t be able to touch and I’m alive man haven’t heard this before. Don’t get me wrong I love the outcome but I found myself going have a nice thing this before. It’s like watching a romantic comedy it’s a good movie but you’re like me and I know it’s going to happen at the end here. For the record you do not see the ending of this book coming so don’t think you do from reading this review trust me it creeps up on you and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. One note to the author especially I plowed through this book I loved your work one thing that really would help in the LITRPG genre once we get so many books into the series a simple refresher. One of those in case you missed it chapters at the beginning of the book so that we have the main details and haven’t forgotten anything that’s necessary to remember. Sometimes when you dive back into a series it’s like diving into a book where you’ve lost your bookmark and you’re like where was I at again and you have to find the page and read over some things you read before and try and remember where did I leave off what was happening. Well when it’s been months since you last touch the series you don’t remember everything that you need to remember. It all comes flooding back to you eventually but it would be nice to have it presented to you early on.

Worth reading. OP MC power leveling with unique story.
The Dungeon Slayer books by Konrad Ryan is a really well done power leveling series. The story is extremely original and interesting. The world and lore is deep. Truly worth investing the time to read. I have read all of the series available (book 4) as of this review. The writing is well done, bearing an over use of “sweat down the back of the neck” and ” shivers up the spine” descriptors. This doesn’t in the slightest distract you from the intense fights and truly daunting challenges the MC faces through-out. I highly recommend adding Konrad Ryan to your list of authors to follow with keen interest. Don’t take my word for it, give it a read!

Awesome series it just gets better.
I really enjoyed this book the 4th in the series. It’s a different world than some of the ones I have read where the character levels up. I definitely like the difference. The whole world knows of dungeons and characters being reborn. Unlike some others where they going to a different world. I think it makes it more intense when the players have to play for their own world in their own time. The dungeons are intense with monsters, mini bosses and the big bosses. Looking forward to see how Ted deals with Omega.

That was quite the ending and epilogue. Not sure how I feel about Liz becoming a void. I honestly hope the relationship is still there. It’s been an oddly enjoyable part that I had expected to hate. I really hope Liam and Gerald don’t die. I’m very glad I’ve found this series with 5 books available or I would be so mad at this cliffhanger.
