Two Hole Binder Not included revised comment
This “book” is 7 1/2 x 9″ It is a very odd size. I bought individual rings for the packet, but will have to put the pages in document protectors for a three hole punch binder eventually. Be prepared if you buy this.I am only interested in this because I have to teach the material, but I am surprised it is just a stack of paper not even punched for the standard three hole binder. But all is not lost with a little ingenuity.To expand a bit on the printing format. I do not know which country uses a two hole punch for only the upper and center rings. It is a very unfortunate choice for ignoring standardization for three ring binders. The paper is very thin, much like the onion skin paper that used to be used for aerograms. If the publisher want to save money on paper, the pages could have been a standard 8 1/2 x 11 format for the US market and the book would have been thinner. In order to keep the pages from tearing, I now have to enclose each page in a document protector and create my own binder because of this publishing choice. The text book is good enough for what it attempts to do: cover every base for every teaching necessity. That said:I will amend my review to simply state that the material is too dense and elaborate for developmental students, and my limited experience with it tells me that only the most dedicated of multitasking teachers should attempt it. I learned to read and write with a teacher at the blackboard. I seem to have turned out academically proficient enough without being faced with an encyclopedia of reading and writing all at once.
