Nothing you couldn’t find online for free
Pretty basic book with some helpful walk-through examples. Was difficult to get past all of the typos and contradictory statements within definitions but the kicker was taking the practice exam at the end of the book and finding out that some of the correct answer choices weren’t even listed as options.I wouldn’t waste money on this book – you can get the better and more accurate information from the free UiPath Academy and their practice exams.

Needs to be updated to current version
This book would get 5 starts but because it is not aligned with the latest version of UIPATH and fails to account for some major changes such as how the selector works such as having to now use the “Use application/Browser” before click action, you will find your self googling to figure out what you need to do to overcome the errors you get when following the step by step instructions. With diligence you can overcome these hurdles but it is costly with regard to time. Having said that it does force you to go deep under the hood which in the long term could be beneficial. But in the short term it sets you back.

How to ace your UiPath RPA Exam
UiPath is the leading player in the RPA industry. Partially because of technical reasons like user interface design and its technical capabilities. Just as important however, has been the companyâs master stroke to build a community where over 500,000 members help each other to become better developers. Triggered by recurring requests in this community for guidance on the key RPA exam, three senior community members wrote this book. The books lives up to its promise. It provides a clear structure to help you become a (better) developer. It starts simple, with guidance on software installation and introducing the main concepts (chapters 1-3). The next 13 chapters offer a structured approach from starting to code to advanced topics like extracting information from PDFs and processing invoices. All content is supported by clear screenshots that help illustrate the concentps. At the end of the book there are two mock tests as a final preparation. The book is a great resource to prepare for the Associate Certification Exam. Are there things the book can improve on? Of course. Not so much in technical content, but arguably in how to apply RPA in a business setting: finding the opportunities with the highest impact, and how to structure your code like a pro. Then again, maybe it is just like learning to drive a car. You pass your exam to get your driverâs license. And then the real learning begins. Only experience makes great drivers. And great developers.

Excellent book for filling in the gaps
I have been using UiPath for several years and have finally decided to sit for my Associate certification. This book provides really clear explanations of both the “why” and the “how” of UiPath. For instance, I often struggle to explain to people what RPA is. The authors are able to explain that “RPA is a technology that automates tasks previously performed by humans in a digital interface. This software uses a computer robot to run applications the same way a person would do by interacting with the software user interface”.There are many different “nooks and crannies” to UiPath. The authors have provided a rich set of use cases which allowed me to explore areas I haven’t run into before. I especially appreciated the opportunity to work through testing activities such as creating a test bench.I strongly recommend this class to anyone working in UiPath.
