Unleash Possible is a how-to guide for high-growth marketing in complex selling environments. Author Samantha Stone, the revenue catalyst, doesn’t just tell you what to do, she shows you how to do it and how to partner with sales to get the right results.

There is no shortage of inspiring advice calling you to transform your marketing efforts. They all preach, correctly, that B2B marketing has changed and buyers are in control.

The problem is – most advice tells you to transform but does little to address the practical realities of making changes in organizations that have complex relationships with sales.

Unleash Possible changes that – it’s a how-to manual for B2B marketers to:

Become a trusted partner for sales teams to turn to for guidance.Change the way marketing is done to better serve buyers.Drive more revenue, growth and profitability.

“Rarely do you find a practical, accessible resource that seamlessly combines sales and marketing into a coherent and motivating call to action as Samantha has written here. Highly recommended read by those new (and old) to B2B sales and marketing (yes both sides of the aisle and funnel!).” (Matt Heinz, president, Heinz Marketing Inc.)

“The author’s acute awareness of her own learning brings valuable gifts forward in her book. Accepting these gifts and absorbing her ideas will fast-track your success.” (Peter Bauer, CEO, Mimecast)

    SMASH the status quo!
I’m a big fan of Samantha Stone. She’s that irresistible combination of marketing know-how and contagious energy. Somehow this book captures both of these qualities into a clear, story rich, action oriented format. The STORIES are one of my favorite parts about this book. It’s packed full of CASE STUDIES, and not as a last minute addition, but integrated with each and every chapter. It’s as if you’re a student at Harvard Business School, learning through the experiences of other marketers who have experimented before you. Some of them won big- some learned painful lessons, and you benefit from them all! Each Case Study has a specific format. It starts with “The Problem.” And these are real world ones too. No pie-in-the-sky Ivory Tower examples, but gritty roll up the sleeves challenges. One particular problem, from the “Lead Quality vs Quantity” chapter, describes the challenge of coming into a technology business where the VP of Marketing has just left, current lead flow is trickling in, yet the organization had set aggressive goals that need to be met. Following the problem description is “The Situation”giving insights into what is going on underneath the visible challenge. This is followed by The Research, where you can learn what was discovered when Samantha herself dug into the situation.Following these sections, each case study contains a detailed section on The Solution and finally The Results. These aren’t hat tips either. Numbered and bulleted lists go into detail on the solution’s tactical steps. And the results have real measured numbers in growth charts- often in “mic drop” fashion- where I found myself inspired to seek similar results.Well done Samantha! Writing a book is hard, writing one so clear, detailed, and helpful is rare. You’ve done it here and raised the bar on all future books on marketing!!

Amazing insights and tips that may or may not be for everyone
Loved the book and it definitely will help me a lot on my b2b strategy but I did feel that many strategies noted here are for more wide markets and not that niche like mine. Still at least 75% of the work detailed here will surely work for almost everyone.

Driving revenue by aligning Sales & Marketing…
From a Sales Leader’s perspective; it is about hitting and exceeding the number, always. To achieve and surpass quota attainment, you must have visibility into the pipeline and know that you are in jeopardy of missing the number months in advance.Samantha Stone’s practical examples of ‘how to’ drive sales by leveraging marketing best practices, are all about being proactive. When there is alignment between sales and marketing towards the common goal of driving revenue, normal friction turns into collaboration focused on winning customers and creating shareholder value. If you are a Marketing Leader, read this book! I would argue that both the Sales Leader & the Marketing Leader read the book, look at your pipeline objectively as to where deals are stuck, sit down and apply relevant Unleash Possible playbook tactics. Samantha’s expertise helped our company hit 16 consecutive Qtrs. of YOY growth. You’ll be compelled to put words into action….

Sales Leader Walking Away with a Plan of Action
I’m a sales leader at a late stage software company that is growing rapidly. I’m walking away with a better understanding of marketing concepts, how to action them, and what to measure. Previously read several marketing books and gone through Hubspot’s Inbound certification; I have also stepped on many of the landmines that the author points out – could have used this treasure trove a year ago :)Exceptional read that encompasses just the right amount of breadth and depth. As it relates to breadth, topics include: personas, buyer’s journey, market segmentation, content marketing strategy, sales and marketing team dynamics, and valuable metrics. As for depth, each chapter speaks to what you are looking to achieve conceptually, anchored in a framework and at least one case study, as well as “How To” manuals to boot.

    Worth Re-Reading
Unleash Possible is a first-rate guide to marketers that want to take a next step or level up in their current position. I’ve been in marketing for over 20 years a wish I had these insights in my last several roles. It’s never too late!Samantha brings a great energy to her writing and details out specific projects, campaigns and experiences in a real world, “you can do this too,” fashion. This book is now on my annual re-read list. Thank you, Samantha!

    Very specific and actionable recommendations
Chapters 1-3 are pretty fluffy. Chapter 4 is where the good stuff starts!

In a sea of marketing books, Unleash Possible by Samantha Stone rises above the rest with its straight talk and actionable how-tos. In it, Samantha has laid out a clear approach to driving growth with extra tips and real-life stories to illustrate her points. This is a book that you’ll hold in your collection to reference for years to come, full of sticky notes and dog-eared pages! Kudos.
