Works well with an Echo 3rd gen dot. No issues.
I’m totally blind. I got this to use with an Echo 3rd gen dot. This works well with a USB 20W PD power brick. I plaied a few song through it at volume 10 just to see if the Echo would stop working as with other USB power cords for the dot. This cable work well and didn’t stop at all. This cable doesn’t have a step up tranformer in it. So as long as you ahve a USB brick that will work on USB C PD power! You sould be good to go.

Disappointed
I ordered this Power Cord Replacement and Adapter thinking I could replace the power brick that came with my Echo Dot and charge my phone at the same time. This would save an outlet plug for something else. However I am disappointed. The included power adapter cannot charge another device AND power my 5th Gen Echo Dot at the same time. It doesn’t have enough power output. I can’t even charge my earbuds. Once the USB A port is used, the adapter shuts off and my Echo is offline and dead. To be fair, the USB C cable and adapter works with my Echo as long as that is the only thing powered. But I can’t use it since I don’t want anyone to plug something in the USB A port, so I’m back to using the power brick that came with my Echo. Not recommended unless you only want an expensive the USB C cable.

Works perfectly with my Echo 5th gen. USE WITH A USB-C POWER BANK.
This is such a neat idea. It allows you to power your Echo Dot with any decently powered USB-C charger or power bank. The trick is that the USB-C PD charger protocol can output 12v if the attached device indicates it can handle that voltage. This cable just sends the signal to the charger that 12 volts is OK. What a concept!I use the cable to power my Echo Dot 5th gen with my 20,000Mah power bank on my porch so it will rebroadcast my eero WIFI signal down the street while I walk my dog. Powers it for about 20-30 hours at a time.
