Full Review
I replaced my last lock because it would lock randomly with the touch of a hair, act up and not lock by any means (temperamental), and it was loose. This lock is solid, rock solid on the door with its silicone or rubber backers and third screw in upper middle (note you will need to pilot a hole and utilize a separate screw or drill a large hole all the way thru to bolt it into place from front plate)Next Fuction: appears to function the way youâd expect. Tested keyfob, remote lock (with gateway), finder prints and passcodes. All worked seemingly seamlessly without too much human error.App: the app has 2.7 stars (43 ratings) but I honestly think the app is amazing. You can switch the door side if need to thru the app, assign temporary codes, setup finger prints, permanent codes, temporary users, key fobs, etc. if youâd had first gen smart locks this is light years ahead. Additionally itâs google and Alexa able. I bought three of these because you can control all of them through one app. It looks like you can even program the fobs to all of them simultaneously.Installation: now Iâve installed and setup at least six of these âsmart locksâ on the past so I knew what I was getting into. I timed myself and my wife helped me. It took almost exactly an hour to install and setup the following on the app: four thumbprints, four index, three passcodes, two fobs, one additional admin, and I had to test everything for good measure. The people who say it took ten minutes didnât actually time themselves, although I get where they are coming from. Itâs not super difficult to setup if youâve done this before, however the instructions are not very detailed and donât include the rubber backing behind the inner plate, so that was frustrating but quick to fix due to the straight-forward install process. Just know that youâre not getting into a ten minute install, and thatâs with the strike plate(s) already installed because I had upgraded their security a while back.So I hope this is the real deal review to help inform you from someone whoâs tested several different brands and models. Give a [helpful+] if this helped.

Good lock and many good features
Installation and setup very easy. Like many features it has and works really good except a little noise when lock and unlock per wife feedback. The app need improvement of the lock status. Good investment lock. Highly recommended.

Works, most of the time.
The door lock was easy to install and came with everything needed. We havenât used the tags yet, but we did set up codes and fingerprints. Most of the time, we are able to enter the house. However, recently my partner and I both tried our fingerprints and neither of them were working. In addition, the touchpad failed to recognize touch so code entry was not possible either. The lock simply continued to flash, red and reported in the app unauthorized entry. Luckily we were able to get in through a back door for which we still had keys on our rings. Lesson learned. Donât trust this. Carry the key with you at all times. At this price point, I would expect the product to be a little bit more reliable.

Connection has to be fully snapped into place
Dead bolt IS great. Had a week’s worth of trouble first because the two wires had not “snapped” together. It could be seen by Bluetooth and the hub, but it would not pair. Finally, I checked that and reconnected the two wires and it worked so well! I don’t like the inside part, it seems flimsy, but it has only been a week so I can give it time. It will work well with Alexa, the fingerprint works best. It cannot tell you when the lock has been been opened by the key (and I would assume the same holds true if the lock is picked.) Having had two breakins here and a recent third attempt by someone who was also in my car, I wanted a better lock. I am overall very pleased with the lock despite the couple of minor drawbacks I describe. What I like best is it can be set to lock automatically, so I can go out or come in and not worry about whether my door is locked. My grandchild comes in and out and no worries about her leaving the door unlocked which she has done many times. I feel much safer with this deadbolt and I highly recommend it.

Very happy with this.
The instructions for programming fingerprints is flaky but once you figure it out itâs simple enough. Just put it in fingerprint programming mode with the app and then put your finger on the reader when it tell you to. When it beeps lift your finger and then put it right back down. Wait for the next beep and repeat the process for a total of 4 reads. If you try to follow what the app sayâs it wonât work and you will be swearing. The inside is black so itâs very difficult to see if itâs locked at a glance. A white line with a marker will fix that problem. Overall it was easy to install and the instructions were well written. The striker plate is a little bigger that the standard plate so I had to chisel the wood so it would inset flush. Probably could do this with a sharp knife if you donât have a chisel. If youâre a do it yourself person then installing is no problem.

Outstanding
Love this lock. It has every feature I wanted. Fingerprints, 2 access cards for key chain. And keys. You have to buy the G2 gateway to be able to unlock thru the internet. Itâs well worth it. Hot the gateway for $35. You will be able to always check the status of the lock to see if itâs locked or unlocked when you are away. It keeps a log of every time it is locked or unlocked and how it was unlocked. Tons of features. App is very smooth. A month later. I absolutely love this lock. Itâs incredible

Gears stripped within 4 months
Gears stripped within 4 months; after return window closed. Fingerprint never really worked. Was nice to be able to punch in the numbers for the few months it worked, but bad when the gears stripped and you get locked out. Had to replace with my old faithful lock that weâve had for a decade with no failures.
